Beautiful Emptiness

A Poem

Not until recent times
My mind turned a blind eye
To the stunning dynamics of emptiness
That blankness awaiting beginning
Formlessness hoping for form
A barren field of unseen harvesting
A galaxy of interstellar covert to sky
A forest of trees devoid of seeds…

And so I took a while to admire
Pondering the unseen possibilities
A consciousness of the unconscious
It’s all making sense now
I’m amazed, not startled
Staring at the empty pages of the year
Waiting to be loved, pondered, embraced
It’s no more an emptiness
It’s turned a medium of thoughts
A passage of wordy bonds
A fortress of luminous connections
As I envision exchanges of thoughts to words
A becoming of becoming

Now within my mind
In my bare hands
I wield emotions
And the power of incarnations
So I’ll paint the days with intentions
Strokes of blue for joy
Red for love
Green for hope
And the rest for peace
Littering emptiness with mindful excellence
